We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be exhibiting at GTC (GPU Technology Conference) in just under four weeks time. This year GTC is taking place from 17-20 March, 2015 at the San Jose Convention Centre in California.
At GTC we’ll be showcasing the Iray+ for Autodesk 3ds Max plug-in on Lightworks’ stand 529; the intuitive rendering plug-in, which is now in the final stages of the Beta, is due for release in April, so this is the last chance to check it out before the official launch. This year our demos will be powered by BOXX Technologies - showcasing the optimum rendering performance of Iray+ on their powerful new APEX 5 workstations.
We’re excited to be working with several key industry partners across the event to showcase the plug-in, including:
Lenovo – 1019
HP – 419
Dell – 319
We’re also looking forward to working with Cl3ver for the first time at the event. Over the past few months we’ve been working with Cl3ver, the leading provider of real-time 3D in the cloud, to integrate Iray+ technology within their 3D configuration and presentation platform. At GTC they’ll be demoing the Iray+ integration within their technology; go to Cl3ver stand 118 to check it out.
We hope that you’ll take the time to visit Lightworks and our partner stands at GTC this year. If you’re looking to integrate state-of-the-art rendering technology within your product pipeline or application, or you just want to review our plug-in, then pop along to stand 529; our team would love to talk to you.
About Iray+ for Autodesk 3ds Max
Surpassing the current functionality of the Iray version inside 3ds Max, the plug-in boasts many enhancements, including an intuitive, real-world approach to material creation, lighting and camera set-ups. The plug-in allows you to easily create complex real-world materials, based on NVIDIA’s MDL (Material Definition Language); materials are built in a layered structure, which allows for highly complex finishes, such as paint peel and rust, chips and scratches. Plus, the plug-in enables conversion of Mental Ray materials and lighting and Autodesk Protein Library materials to Iray+ for your ease of use. Iray+ links directly to the Iray SDK, rather than via the Mental Ray connection and as a result enables full access to remote and cluster rendering, as well as great feedback during setup with Iray Interactive render mode. Iray+ for 3ds Max slots seamlessly into 3ds Max, with formatting that is clear and familiar to 3ds Max users and provides users with the full benefits of Iray.
